The seventh day - the end?

Mood : giddy and mad
Curently Listening to : Feeder - Pushing the senses

Today I break the spell that’s had it’s hold over me.

Fuck the world cause I’m off to the shop to buy ingredients and then I’m going to cook myself an awesome pasta dinner. With chicken, bacon, some cream onion and garlic for the sauce. Phower.

How on earth did I manage to stay in this house for a week without going nuts…no wait…I did go nuts.

Moral of the story or something. If you have kids, please please either get them jabs or rub their faces all over the first chicken poxed child you see. They’ll thank you for it a in twenty three years time when they don’t end up with the disease three days before they have to go to a music festival.

So anyway.

I can’t wait till next weekend, because I’m going to get to see some friends, maybe get some sushi, maybe go to nandos, maybe have a catch up drink - and then the weekend after that I get to go away again ^_^ *touch wood*.

So yeah, I’m pretty confident that no new pox have spawned and all current ones are scabby scab scab - so risk of infection is very low now.

I really love this Feeder album, Pushing the senses, it’s very not like their early stuff, but it feels like the perfect album to listen to at the moment - a bit mellow, a bit backgroundy, and Feeder reminds me of the summer.

Oh and it’s Paul’s birthday today, Happy birthday to him! I owe that man a pint I think.

Geeky Excitement

Is it sad that I’m feeling rather excited about ordering bits for my new pc set up? It’s wrong isn’t it? It’s only going to be another pc box, look exactly the same as before as I’m recycling the case I have now and other bits and bobs. Hell its even going to have xp again, so that’s nothing different.

But no, I can’t wait, can’t wait to get it up and running, then get going on some projects at some remotely decent speed.

Am also going to be in the progress of removing back into my room again, can’t do much yet since I’m working everyday till Tuesday, but I’m excited about having a nice cosy decluttered space to relax in. Still need to buy some sort of giant bean bag seat so I can slump there and read or laptop it. Also need to look into prints so I can get some done for the walls.

It’s great when you have moneh again. But like said it’s going to be a dead quiet month for me, then it’s theatreeee weekend - woot! Which also coincides with pay day too - cool.

Okay, it’s not helping me progress with my life all of this stuff, instead it making me more kinda…grounded sounding. Like it doesn’t sound like I’m going anywhere soon does it? But patience is a great virtue…or something…

I’m behind on flickr uploading, am still shooting daily of course but because of slow pc I’ve been putting off the processing stuff.

Righty, so this weekend I’m going to finalise and place my order for my new pc parts. Spent a bit of time muddling it through with Tom (note to self, I owe that man a beer), and I think I’m just about set. Final set up for cpu, mobo, psu, graphics card, 2gig ram + 500gig sata hd clocks up at about 350quid, over my initial starting budget - but that’s okay because this was the rough price I had in mind. I wonder if I should bother trying to sell my old pc parts?

New pc….SQUEEEEEE….

Okay only a week to back up stuff then? And make my usual back up software list heh.
