Ah a catch up list is called for methinks…

• Been away for the weekend, was most enjoyable involving the likes of bowling (my arm hurts and I suck), cooking (pasta goodness), baking (CAKE!), maybe some wine (only with the food…and cooking), swings (Weeee!) and some tasty tasty sushi (while having to feed a invalid who couldn’t use chopsticks ;P)
• Financially bollocked - no spending! Apart from on petrol (bloody money water) and maybe if I go for a drink in the weekend.
• Just got a lovely letter from the Student loans company, oh yes, you now owe us £99999999999999999, 9247897483467893y4893278327, 9324793490374 more moneh than you did last year. Soz
• Feeling good about photography lately, new people seem to be acknowledging my ability which is nice. Plus Leon loves the photos from the wedding I took, so that’s kinda making me feel more encouraged to head towards shooting weddings. I do need to get some skills/training in handling flash though. I like it that something I’ve created can make people smile, and that I would be capturing something simple and wonderful.
• I need to find a quick way of making money (without selling ones body and self respect)
• Need to stop chewing my nails gargh
• Start new position tomorrow, welcome to the world of early starts again - oh heck

Yeah I think I’m quite busy at the moment, still generally bored though, I mean my to do list is overflowing, but it’s all just your every day boring random tasks. There’s no real excitement - le sigh.

Twitter is peving me off because it won’t let me twitter from my phone telling me my pin is invalid, when I don’t have a pin set - what a gayer. Plus they seem to be having problems in general and turned out their api stuff - get your act together twitter!

Ah I better go and do stuff and try not to spend money by just existing, plus I want to do a cloning shot today for 365…

So this evening I just sat down and processing the back catalogue of photos that needed processing. I was going to wait till my pc was delivered and set up, but I thought hey. That was ages away and I got loads of shots I’m dying to show off. So off I went, chug chug chug, two-three hours later and I’m just about set tagging/desc for uploading.

Most importantly…my Sleeveface!

Something I’ve been dying to try and do since I first heard about it. I finally pulled than finger from where the sun don’t shine and did something about it. Alas I think I did a pretty good job, though it wasn’t that much of a hard one to try and do.

I’m excited, I hope the weather is consistent tomorrow so I can shoot some stock photos for some cloning action.

So…

• Three days off work yay
• I helped sell a suit and tie and shoes to a guy who was going to a wedding the other day, and he came to pick it up yesterday. My colleague told me he said to pass on his gratitude and compliments. I apparently made him feel very relaxed and I was very good. Awesome.
• Damn duck weekend should be good, I’m looking forward to spending time with everyone and the girly shopping trip with Alice and Gem (and Bob)
• THREE DAYS TILL PAY DAY!!!!
• Slowly getting an idea for the new pc set up, have asked Tom for his quote and thoughts. So slowly chugging along and figuring all that out. Hopefully I’d be able to afford to wipe out my credit card and then use that to buy the parts. Hardware stuff confuses me so much. I can’t wait to build it and be able to do things on it with decent speed.
• Brought a bunch of stuff for my room, can’t wait till I can move back in and make it look all cool and nice
• I think I’m going to see Derren Brown in London with Nick - woot
• Been seeing a lot of random old schoolie mates lately since it’s Easter and all.
• So so so so poor right now
• I’m chubby, I need exercise
• Ohh must resist kettle chips
• My fake nails are growing out at an awful rate, Haven’t decided whether to get new ones or just a manicure and hope I don’t bite. I do want nice nails for theatre time though.
• It’s so damn COLD
• Liz has been bugging me to help try sort out dates for the guy’s end of uni house party stuff heh

So I think I’ve finally had a chance to catch my breath a little. Well okay, I haven’t actually stopped yet, I have work tomorrow again though I could really do with a day off around about…*now*…

Though I enjoy going away it really does wear one out and then I have the pain of catching up on everything when I get back. Sodding Flickr and trying to look through the ThreeSixtyFive pool can be tough. I comment less and less :( I shouldn’t but I just don’t have the time to devote to every shot like I use to.

I really should spread my wings and try and check out famous photographers you know? I wouldn’t mind seeing their styles and maybe even be influenced/inspired by them a little? I definitely have to do a Sleeveface as demonstrated here by the lovely Alice…But I have no vinyl :(

Though next time I see Alice (and probably Bob) we’ll probably go hunt some down in some charity shops and have a go ha.

It feels like it’s been a real while since I’d kinda filled in folks on what’s been going on of late.

Firstly, of course it’s no longer 2007 but now 2008, and with new Years come new beginnings right? Of course if you’ve read my past reflective posts you will know that this year is a year of chilling and going with the flow - I like that idea very much.
