A few months ago Bob had intended for us to go out for a meal with some Peking duck in celebration ah…I dunno his First, his graduation, his new job…*shrugs* In the end the whole thing got stupidly delayed because we couldn’t seem to find a free weekend to do it in.

Eventually an opportunity arose when we realised that if we didn’t do it before Alice went travelling then hell it would be a another long wait until we could do it. So it was planned to be held around Easter Monday.

The London/Silverchair Weekend

Somewhat extremely very belated, this is a tale about when I went to London to hang about with Stephie and go see Silverchair play for the first time ever. Woo!

It all happened last summer sometime between Stu’s house warming weekend and Leeds festival. Though it had been planned way way before all this when it was first announced Silverchair were touring again. I was determined to go see them and found it hard to find someone to go with, though in the end I planned the trip with Stephie as she wanted to go see them too.

Many many weeks later and it so turned out that Bob was also going, because Stephie was buying him a ticket for some reason - oh yeah because of the after show party stuff…anyway so yeah she brought him a ticket to go. Though I found that particularly odd as there I was having to buy my own ticket when Bob had his brought for and I was the one that liked them! Heh typical…Oh and at the last minute Kev had decided to come too. Though by then tickets had sold out, but he’d sourced a spare one via Scarlett mist, so that was cool.

So come one sunny Friday afternoon…and I’m waiting for my train at the station as per usual…

New Years Ever 2007…

I hadn’t really thought about it that much. I find that when it comes to these big events, if you have an idea and plan and plan then it never turns out half as good as it should be. Sometimes you can’t force these things, sometimes you have to just let them roll as they should.

Many many many weeks before the actual time it was kinda suggested that, since Stu had an empty house, we could have a proper New Years Eve gathering there, plus it was kinda for Kazzie’s benefit too since she’d never really done much for New Years and all (apart from the epic legend of the six hours…anyway….)

So yeah I got invited and I felt very much in the air of the whole situation, at the time I just didn’t know what I’d be doing when, in fact it even got brought up when I wasn’t even working at the time. That was just how much uncertainty there was for me about it…

But as things turned out I did find myself speeding along the A1 towards the M25 and yet again en-route towards a southern town of Canterbury…
