Has been a good day; caught up with friends, work was alright, got some positive news in other ventures. I really feel like opportunities are starting to arise for once.

I got up mildly sleep deprived to work my four hour shift that went with ease and no stress, then met Laura in town for some loitering and lunch. She’s just became an Auntie! Then I head home to two pieces of promising news. I had a nice tasty shower, followed by starting some S2 Heroes action. I then cook myself up some curry (well cooking chicken and heating some sauce from a jar babeh), which was tasty and fufilled my curry cravings. Then I shoot my threesixtyfive, I actually had an idea for once, as well as do some other odd bits and bobs. Then I head out to the pub and catch up with Dannii a bit while doing the quiz. Also had the opportunity to check out the zillion photos of Laura’s newly born niece and some videos - pretty cute - Dannii and Laura were cooing and their female genes kicked in (I swear they’re totally going to get broody feeling, though Laura has declared solidly that ‘Noooo not ready for a baby yet!’). I also have tiramasu and tea. Afterwards I return home, and then talk to Nick on the phone, which was nice (though the female gene of ‘Ohhh, sighhhh :(’ has kicked in only three/four days since last seeing him, which is gay). Then I felt like listening to some unplugged Alice in chains while I processed my daily photos and struggled somewhat with my threesixtyfive shot - though I think I finally got there in the end. Now I’m here, typing this blog entry, chewing on a sore nail, feeling pretty shattered, but in good spirits, looking forward to a nice long sleep tomorrow before work.

I think the only not so good things is that I split my bottom lip because it was already cracked, and the sleep deprivation that has made me look like a zombie, and the money consumption = baddd :(

I am now going to publish this entry, then pass out in bed.

Do I always end up working in jobs that involve crazy working times?

For example I’m working 5AM….yes 5AM on Saturday, though what makes it more weird is that it’s only till 9am. Which means I’ll have the rest of the day to myself still…

In other random news, I got Heroes S2 on the go since I think it’s time I catch up on that, and I was starting to get bored with nothing to watch.

Great, so I can read all your lovely twits but I can’t respond when I’m out and about on the go. Ah well.

Off to the exceedingly early but short grind…

Just finished catching up with my flickr contacts, comments etc etc etc - god it’s kinda been a chore, but one that’s secretly delicious and I don’t mind really…

Oh, the above photo is by fellow ThreeSixtyFiver Chloe, she’s a little crazy and I love her feed because it never fails to make me giggle inside. She’s only seventeen but she’s full of life and donned with her little point and shoot already proving to be a bit of a budding photographer.

None the less, I do feel like my photography lately is lacking, I’m so busy rushing around to actually take time to stop and think about what I’m shooting and how and even why. I feel like I’ve reached a kinda certain restraint when I’m out and about with my camera, I almost feel…self concious? I’m not sure. But I don’t like this feeling, and I need to break down these mental walls I’ve begun to build for myself.

Today during my break at work, I was just finishing my sandwich on a bench, and I saw this guy carrying a dslr (maybe a canon), he walked along, then stopped by this random guy sat at a table and he must have just asked him quickly if he could take a photo - then he did, and just carried along on his way. I loved that, I loved how casual and relaxed he was in doing it, and without fear.

And on that note I’m off to shoot my threesixtyfive, no ideas yet, but I’m sure I will think of something. It’s the last day of smiles! So shall see…

Hmm I should do a photography lighting course too, that would be ace.

Okay…this actually ain’t too bad…Being awake at 6amish listening to Smashing pumpkins, eating cereal even though you’re not really that hungry yet it just…seems like the most logical step.

Off to work for four hours then going to return wondering what the hell to do with myself for the rest of the day…

Look on the bright side, it’s a glorious sunny day - the sky is singing, the birds are swaying ( - Dylan Moran), and after I finish work I can go do some tasty photolising action. Speaking of which, I think I shall get my 18-55mm sent off again since the AF has been broken on it for a while. Though I’m not sure, it could be the  body’s sensors they need cleaning? I’ll see what they think and whether I should send the body or lens

• Micro gorilla pod or similar

• A nice wide angle lens

Gargh, I wish my mother would stop harassing me, it somewhat infuriates me when she’s even TRYING to run around after me at 6am in the morning. I think she’s bonkers, why can’t she just let me get on with it, and trust my sense of judgement. GARGH too many words of a pissed off vein to spill for me to have time to do it, so I’m going to feck off and I’ll vent later.

Ah a catch up list is called for methinks…

• Been away for the weekend, was most enjoyable involving the likes of bowling (my arm hurts and I suck), cooking (pasta goodness), baking (CAKE!), maybe some wine (only with the food…and cooking), swings (Weeee!) and some tasty tasty sushi (while having to feed a invalid who couldn’t use chopsticks ;P)
• Financially bollocked - no spending! Apart from on petrol (bloody money water) and maybe if I go for a drink in the weekend.
• Just got a lovely letter from the Student loans company, oh yes, you now owe us £99999999999999999, 9247897483467893y4893278327, 9324793490374 more moneh than you did last year. Soz
• Feeling good about photography lately, new people seem to be acknowledging my ability which is nice. Plus Leon loves the photos from the wedding I took, so that’s kinda making me feel more encouraged to head towards shooting weddings. I do need to get some skills/training in handling flash though. I like it that something I’ve created can make people smile, and that I would be capturing something simple and wonderful.

Yeah I think I’m quite busy at the moment, still generally bored though, I mean my to do list is overflowing, but it’s all just your every day boring random tasks. There’s no real excitement - le sigh.

Twitter is peving me off because it won’t let me twitter from my phone telling me my pin is invalid, when I don’t have a pin set - what a gayer. Plus they seem to be having problems in general and turned out their api stuff - get your act together twitter!

Ah I better go and do stuff and try not to spend money by just existing, plus I want to do a cloning shot today for 365…
