Office Work and Pancakes
My bro gave me a call last night asking if I wanted to work for him for this week doing odd random shitty officie jobs, paid (despite it being gay pay) for it. I said alright, and I went in today to experience for the first time working in an office.
It was alright actually, okay I was doing silly little jobs and making tea but it wasn’t stressful and that’s good. Though I can see how tedious it could result as eventually, I mean I know I would probably end up getting restless and aching for more.
My first job of the day was to help sort out the mail, make tea and then empty/sort out a shit load of files that had been sat under my bro’s desk for god knows how long hahah. Then I began to start making calls, finding out information and did some letters before learning how to sort the mail, use a photocopier and scanning (Though we all know none of these tasks are complicated or extactly rocket science ;)).
So yeah the first day went alright so shall see how the rest of the week goes. I mean it’s better than doing nothing at home and also ensures I’ll be okay for cash for the weekend in London.
The only bad thing was because I hadn’t expecting to be doing anything early I broke my sleeping patterns ha, resulting in me struggling to get to sleep last night with the need for an early start. I ended up with only having two hours sleep ugh…
In other job news, I have accepted the position I was offered despite my own reservations about it. I know I should be grateful but now the intense fear about messing up really kicks in still, fear much much fear :/
It’s funny because I also got another interview today! It’s with the placement sceheme I registered with while I was at uni efore I left. How fooking annoying is that? I get absolutely nothing for months and months and then I get everything at once! Funny how life likes to take the piss.
Oh yeah and I made pancakes for the past two nights. I even went out and brought maple syrup especially! My aim was to make those awesome thickish american pancakes. I tried to hunt down a decent recipe off the net but the one I picked was rubbish! And rsulted in chewy tough things :( I then decided to go and bug some americans haha, and eventually my dear friend Kiernan came me the precious recipe that actually worked and produced these beauties:

Mmm fluffy thick tasty american style pancakes with maple syrup Mmmmm! I’ve decided I love expanding my cooking knowledge, I get a real kick in doing something and it coming out as great as I expected. Heh.
Wooo London trip, can’t wait now. The exictement is bubbling. Weeeee
